It seems like everyone is deep in the throes of the holiday season. And for good reason — it’s definitely the best, most magical time of year! I’ve loved seeing and hearing about all the ways families celebrate this special time.
My favorite holiday tradition happens the day after Thanksgiving when me and my family dive into a delicious seafood dinner. We typically have a spread with crab legs, steamed shrimp and a garden salad.
I can’t recall exactly how this tradition came to be but we look forward to the time spent together each year.
This year, I decided to make a crab dip to enjoy before dinner and it was a hit! The best part? No need to use expensive lump crab meat (although you totally can if you like), as the canned stuff will suffice.
This Baked Crab Dip is so creamy, cheesy and delicious. It’s the perfect no-fuss appetizer to serve guests before a big holiday fest! My family raved about this recipe and the next day my sister and I argued about who got to eat the leftovers. Ha…
Just thinking it about this Baked Crab Dip makes me hungry! I’m on a real seafood kick these days. I’ve seen so many wonderfully delicious seafood dishes the past few days and they have me longing to make this crab dip, again.
What’s your favorite holiday tradition? Will you be serving up something special in the next few weeks?
Note: It’s not included in the ingredient list but I like to top my crab dip with extra cheese and dill before popping it into the oven.
Also, this dish is best served hot but in a pinch, tastes just as good straight out the fridge.
